Read MoreI finished Coding Foundations today and it has been wonderful, hard, at times a depressing and rewarding experience. I had a really great cohort and met some amazing people in this program. We did have our first teacher leave halfway through the program, which threw some of us off a little as they were an amazing teacher and then we had to switch to a completely new teaching style. Our new teacher was knowledgeable and a little faster paced than our previous one. I was fine with the fast pace because it works for me, so I enjoyed him as a teacher overall. We did some great projects and work together.... Read Less
Financing wise was the hardest for me being an out of state remote student which is why I cannot continue to Immersions (Software Development) unfortunately. If you are an out of state student just be mindful or have the full tuition prepared because you cannot get the school's deferred tuition or other help if you cannot get a loan for both halves of the program. As the program is split into two parts (Coding Foundations and Software Development) you can be approved for a Climb loan for the first half and not approved for the second, leaving you with no certification or job assistance and a loan to pay back. If you're in state they have many options and resources available to help you.
In the end it was a rewarding experience and I learning a lot. I am grateful for this experience and I'm excited to continue my journey on a slightly different path than I intended! We had some student services employees taking the class with us and they are phenomenal people so I know students are in good hands when entering immersions and beyond! Thank you to everyone who put up with my silliness you are the best. I may have to visit Indiana someday because you guys represented so well!

One of the aspects I appreciated most about the Master is the mentor check-up for our projects, conducted at three different intervals before the final presentation. This valuable feedback allowed us to adjust and improve as needed, ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Additionally, the student week in Barcelona at the end of the program was an unforgettable experience filled with joy and learning opportunities.
However, it's worth noting that the way teams are formed was a point of concern for me. I believe it would have been more equitable if the coordinator had formed the teams, as some ended up with only two members and little experience, while others had six members with considerable experience. Nevertheless, this observation doesn't overshadow the fact that I wholeheartedly recommend studying at Nuclio, where joy is an integral part of the learning journey. The school's dedication to fostering a positive and supportive environment truly sets it apart.

I do wish the class would have covered more git training. We did go over it, but I feel having a dedicated week to it would be beneficial. Especially in the areas of when something goes wrong, and perhaps something to help students with what would be the best approach in certain situations.
That being said, I feel like everything else I have learned is monumental in advancing my career. I learned what it was like working on a team of programmers. The other class members were helpful, and I had fun helping some of them.
Overall I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to advance their programming knowledge and is dedicated in pursing a career in programming.

They continually updated the curriculum based on valuable feedback from recruiters and hiring managers, ensuring its relevance and alignment with industry needs. The course progression commenced with building a portfolio as the foundation for establishing an online presence, followed by tackling various Javascript challenges commonly encountered during interviews to enhance programming language proficiency. Finally, the course delved into constructing at least three Full-stack .NET applications. Throughout the journey, the unwavering guidance and support from Antonio, Jacob, and Bobby proved invaluable in honing my skills within a mere 12-week timeframe.

I had been a hairstylist for fifteen years and had absolutely zero tech experience, but had been curious about it for about five years--especially seeing how my friends in the industry were thriving financially. I liked that the program was fully online but that there were scheduled, structured classes along with flexible scheduled group work time, along with work that you did on your own schedule. The program not only sets you up for success tech-wise, but the career support and staff in general are invaluable. Between the technical training, the full-stack projects you build, the experience you get working with actual clients, and the interview and resume coaching, you really are positioned to land that first job within the first few months (or sooner--I had many cohort-mates that landed jobs while they were still in the program!). It took me about five weeks of interviewing after I graduated to receive two job offers. I accepted a position at a small software consulting agency in Minneapolis and happily celebrated my one-year anniversary at this month. The work is incredibly social and creative, and the risk was absolutely worth the reward. It's rare to leave a career of fifteen years and experience a significant increase in income with your first job in the new field, and my annual raise after one year was right around 15%! I can work from home as much or as little as I like which is a HUGE plus, I love the flexibility. If you are considering a bootcamp and want to land your first job in the Minneapolis area especially (their connections to the job market here are so valuable, although I think they would set you up for success no matter where you are located), Prime is absolutely worth the investment....
