Before starting the bootcamp I was super scared that I wasn't going to be able to follow the classes and understand the content but it turned out to be way better in so many aspects than I could've ever imagined. From my fellow coleagues, to the professors and to the whole staff of Ironhack everyone helped each other out so much that made the whole bootcamp and the whole proccess of learning new things so much easier.
I want to give a special appreciation to Diogo Capitão, the PM on the Lisbon campus for making sure everyone had everything they needed and to attend to everyone's necessities makinhg sure everything went as smoothly as possaible.
On a last note I just want to say it was one of the best decisions I made recently and I highly reccoment it to everyone wanting to shift carreers to any of the bootcamps available.

My personal experience through this Coding Boot Camp was excellent, and that's what I'm sharing here.
I graduated in October 2018 from the FULL STACK WEB DEVELOPMENT program, started in May 2018 (6 Months).Halfway through the program I decided to offer my services as a Web Developer; built 2 websites for free and then I got a paid client. At this point, 3 months are enough for you to start building beautiful websites, building up portfolio, and hopefully getting your first clients.
Before graduation I got an offer from the company I currently work at.The program covers a lot ... I understand, “a lot” it's a very broad and abstract term, but, I mean it, A LOT; from the very basic HTML to functional React Web Applications, from your command prompt to data manipulation and databases, from your first lines of code “Hello World” to dynamic, interactive, responsive and potentially profitable $$$ real world projects.
Career services are great, they will absolutely help you to become employer-ready-competitive, to be more noticeable, and most important, they will guide you through the job search process.

Instructors are experienced, very knowledgeable and fun, they're in the industry, usually in different fields. which is great, and you get to learn a lot from them.
Thanks to this University of Miami Coding Bootcamp my life has changed for good, it's incredible how 6 months of hard work can transform everything, I got hired by a great company, in a role that I really enjoy and most important, where I'm able to apply everything I have learned.
This experience is just the beginning of a career full of awesomeness, professional growth and tons of lines of code. SUPER RECOMMENDED!

They made sure to review the previous day's work all the time and introduced the students to stand-ups early in the program.
I came into TechLaunch with prior programming knowledge and skills but even with those skills I found that I lacked the skill to think critically, that is what I believe was a major achievement for me attending TechLaunch. One of a web developer's super power is to have the ability to learn because technology is evry changing. TechLaunch develops this skill by putting its students through rigorous but achieveable tests and challenges.
I am glad I got to attend TechLaunch and graduate. If you get the chance and get accepted into the program, don't pass it up.

They have fantastic instructors, my instructors were Andrew Cichewics and Carlos, but worked with Luis through work shops a few times . Andrew is an extremely knowledgeable instructor that is able to bring a ton of real world experience into the instruction that is extremely helpfully in breaking down some of the material. He has a great upbeat personality that keeps you focused on what is being taught. He truly cares about his students success and will do everything he can to help you grow if you put in the effort. Everything can be said the same for Carlos. Although he is a newer instructor to be, he was always able to jump right in showing is vast knowledge with in the field and gave a lot of insight into his experiences. I also want to give a shout out to Kara Arguello, student services, who was always there to assist and kept me informed of any work shops that were taking place. Kara's constant communication through email kept me up to date with everything available and was appreciated even though I was not able to take advantage of as many work shops as I would have liked to. Overall, fantastic experience and would take it again just to retain even more knowledge. After the 6 month apprenticeship I was hired as a full stack developer.
LC101 met 3 hours, 2 days per week for 6 months but required 15 hours or more work outside of class to keep up with the workload. After LC101 I attended Liftoff, a 2 month LaunchCode program to get you ready for interviews, help with building a portfolio and a resume. After Liftoff, I was accepted into the apprenticeship program. LaunchCode got me 2 interviews and on the second, I was hired as a LaunchCode contractor. At the end of 6 months, I was hired as a software developer.
I think that the main takeaway is that this program works but you have to be ready to put in the work if you want results.... Read Less
